On 19 September European policy makers and real estate industry representatives met in Brussels to discuss the important role of real estate in meeting the challenges of financing a sustainable future in Europe. Martin Spolc, Unit Head responsible for sustainable finance in the European Commission spoke about the progress made by the experts group developing the EU’s Action Plan on sustainable finance. Results of the annual GRESB Real Estate Assessment and the current work of CRREM (Carbon Risk Real Estate Monitor) were presented and, together with the Sustainable Finance Action Plan, were discussed by a panel of experts.
